Chris founded Grassroot Baseball with the vision of raising the awareness of Minor League and Independent League baseball across the nation. An avid Red Sox fan, Chris grew up in the heart of Yankee country in the New York City suburbs of Bergen County, New Jersey. Thanks to the support of his parents, Chris was always encouraged to pursue sports and was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to visit many minor and independent league baseball venues growing up.

From trips to New England’s McCoy Stadium (Pawtucket Red Sox) or Scranton, Pennsylvania to see the Red Barons (Former Phillies AAA affiliate), or seeing the NJ Jackals at Yogi Berra Stadium (CAN-AM League), Chris was always fascinated by the passion and energy of minor league baseball spawning the evolution of Grassroot Baseball.

Chris is a graduate of Kean University in Union, New Jersey and currently resides in Short Hills, NJ.

Justin Miskowski

A native of Allendale, NJ, Justin brings an unmatched energy and creative
edge to the Grassroot team. A graduate of Montclair State University, Justin
currently works as the principal graphic designer for his company, Miskowski Design www.miskowskidesign.com. Growing up with Grassroot founder, Chris Benz, Justin joined the Grassroot team to help build Grassroot Baseball to what it is today. In addition to his career in graphic design, Justin is also a member of the New Jersey based alternative rock band, The Better World www.thebetterworld.com.

An avid Yankee Fan and graduate of New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business, William has always been passionate about “America’s National Pastime.” He works actively with the Grassroot team on a consulting basis to ensure that we remain “Leading Edge” for our clients. William has a diverse business background with extensive knowledge in management, product development, and marketing.
